Delete your ViRey account
You can delete your ViRey account and its data at any time, in the app or without installing anything. You can also delete some of your data and keep your account.
In the app
Open ViRey, tap Delete account, read what will happen and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
Send an email to virey@redndad.com with the subject “Delete my ViRey account”, from the email address of the Google account you use with ViRey, so we know the request is yours. You get an automatic acknowledgement with a ticket number, and we delete the account within 7 business days and confirm by email.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted: your account, your homes, your items, your bills and photos, what was read from them, and their fingerprints. Everything else is deleted within 30 days.
- Kept, because the law requires it: payment and refund records (pack, price, date, Google’s reference), without your name or email, for 72 months from the due date of the annual GST return.
- Kept for 30 days: a scrambled code made from your Google account and the number of paid items that ended, only so we can offer them back if you return with the same Google account.
- Kept only if you ask: your email for ViRey updates and offers, if you tick that box when deleting, until you unsubscribe.
Delete some of your data, and keep your account
Items: in the ViRey app, open an item and tap Remove this item. The item and its value history are deleted.
Bills, photos or anything else: email virey@redndad.com with the subject “Delete some of my ViRey data”, from the email address of the Google account you use with ViRey, and say what you want deleted (for example “all my bills” or “the bill from Croma, 12 March 2025”). You get an automatic acknowledgement with a ticket number, and we delete it within 7 business days and confirm by email. A deleted bill is gone for good; the items added from it stay unless you remove them too.
Payment and refund records are kept as the law requires, as described above.
